This telephony system records audio in a single channel (mono). That is, the audio from the two parties is merged into a single channel, and there's no easy way to tell who is speaking on the call.
Will Gong be able to separate speakers from this telephony system?
For telephony systems like that record audio in a single channel, Gong will attempt to separate speakers over time.
Gong will accumulate a number of representative calls by the recorded user, and will scan them to find the common speaker.
In addition to identifying speakers on the call, Gong will attempt to break down the call into segments, each associated with a single speaker.
How to Connect
- Ask your DialPad admin to give you the DialPad API Token. Note API access is only available on the “DialPad Enterprise” plan
- Import users to Gong. Set the users to record before integrating Dialpad in Gong.
- In the Settings page, click Telephony systems.
- Click + Add telephony system.
- Select DialPad.
- Enter the API Token.
- Click CONNECT.
Note: Remember to set your users to be recorded in DialPad.
Coaching Teams is a feature available to Dialpad Sell customers on the Pro and Enterprise plans. Coaches and Trainees must both be on a Sell license in order to use this.
Dialpad automatically records calls made from a mainline, department, call center or coaching group.
Calls made from individual direct lines are automatically recorded if the relevant users are on Dialpad Sell licenses, and placed into a Coaching Team.
