Prerequisites
A Gong admin for the customer is required to set up the integration with the proper credentials. Those credentials allow Glean to access the Gong API on behalf of the customer.
Installation Process
Instructions are provided onscreen in the deployment console. Setup for Gong is fairly straightforward. Glean has created a central Glean-Gong integration app that processes and approves authentication requests. When the admin wants to connect Gong, they simply have to provide their login credentials to the app. The app then initiates an OAuth 2.0 authorization flow, the end result of which is that credentials for the Gong API are stored within the customer’s deployment. Glean can then use the credentials to access and ingest data from the Gong API.
The setup page in the deployment console contains a link that when clicked on initiates this authorization flow with the Glean-Gong integration app.
Post Setup
Glean allows configuring for only a certain set of users to be able to access Gong search results.
