When Gong analyzes phone calls imported from modern PBX systems, audio is provided to Gong in two channels: one channel includes the recorded Gong user, and the other channel includes the customer. In addition, Gong knows which extension (or, in the more general case, which recorded Gong user) the call is associated with.

In this case, Gong associates one side of the call with the recorded Gong user and the other side with the other party. This ensures maximum accuracy as long as the PBX system records audio consistently across the channels.

How to Connect

You must be a HubSpot administrator to enable the integration. Speaker separation is supported.

Note

Due to limitations in Hubspot's API, Gong can import up to 10,000 engagements (calls, emails, meetings, etc.) or, if there are fewer than 30 days of engagements, Gong can pull in up to 30 days of engagements. Therefore, if there are more than 10,000 engagements, not all historical engagements can be imported.

Set up HubSpot telephony system

  • Make sure calls are recorded in HubSpot.
  • Authorize the integration with Gong (must be done by a HubSpot admin.

Set up Gong

  1. In the Settings page, click Telephony systems.
  2. Click + Add telephony system.
  3. Select HubSpot.
  4. Set the speaker channel to the desired channel.
  5. Click CONNECT.
