Authentication Permissions
To authenticate this integration for the first time, a user must be a Gong Tech Admin and have admin permissions in Rippling
Connect
- From Gong, click Company settings > PEOPLE > Team Member Provisioning
- Select Rippling as the provisioning source
- Create an assignment for data capture, workspace, and permission settings to Rippling groups:
- In the Assign settings area, click ADD ASSIGNMENT.
- Give the assignment a name.
- In the Rippling groups area, select the Rippling group you want to define the settings for.
- Select the Gong seats you want users in this group to have assigned to them.
- In the Workspaces and permissions area, set the permissions profile for each workspace in your organization.
- In the Data capture area, select which data should be captured and imported to Gong. For details see About managing team members.
- In the Update settings area, define how settings can be managed for this assignment:
- Select Manual editing to manage data capture and permission settings for users in this assignment in Gong.
- After you create the assignment, if you make changes to group settings in Rippling, they will not be pushed to Gong. However, you can edit the group settings manually in Gong
- (Recommended) Select Automatic updates to give Rippling governance over data capture and permission settings in Gong.
- Click ADD ASSIGNMENT.
- In the Manager's provisioning settings area:
- Select Notify direct managers with recorded teams when a new team member is imported to keep your team managers in the loop.
- Select Managers can turn data capture on or off for their team to give your team managers some autonomy.
- Click Update to save your settings.
